The Westmont men’s basketball team benefited from 44 points off the bench in the Warriors 76- 57 Golden State Athletic Conference victory on Saturday night over San Diego Christian. Reserve guard Matthew Hornbuckle led the Warriors in scoring with 13 points while making three of four from three-point range and pulled down four rebounds. more

Farias leads Warriors’ second-half surge

Vanessa Farias scored 21 points, including seven during a Warrior 20-0 second-half run, to help lead Westmont Women’s Basketball to a 67-62 Golden State Athletic Conference win over San Diego Christian on Saturday night. The sophomore guard, who made eight of 12 attempts from the floor, also tallied three assists. more

Bender’s double-double paces Westmont past Master’s

Not only did Blake Bender recorded his eighth double-double of the year in Westmont’s 68-64 win over the Mustangs of The Master’s College, but he led all players in both points and rebounds. Bender scored 23 points in the Golden State Athletic Conference game and pulled down 11 boards. He made seven of ten from the field and all nine of his free throw attempts. more
