Lee Central Coast Newspapers All-Area Team MVP Sean Rowan helped pitch and hit Santa Ynez to the Los Padres League baseball title last year. This season, he’s playing his baseball for Cal Lutheran in Thousand Oaks. So is Todd Whitmore, another prominent Pirates pitcher last year. Power hitting catcher Evan Soliman is playing for Westmont College. more

By doing so, it’s hoping to do the same for its graduates…At the last College Night, Cal Poly women’s soccer coach Alex Crozier, Westmont College men’s soccer coach Dave Wolf and CSU San Bernardino women’s soccer coach Travis Clarke all attended. more

Westmont choir to sing at Presbyterian Church

The 50-voice choir of Santa Barbara’s Westmont College will take part in both the 8:30 and 10 a.m. worship services in the new sanctuary of the Santa Ynez Valley Presbyterian Church on Sunday, Oct. 18. The accomplished student choir, under the direction of Michael Shasberger, performs several times a year in Westmont campus events, in Santa Barbara-area churches and choral festivals, and has been featured with the Santa Barbara Symphony in performances of several major choral works. more
