Mustangs Women’s Volleyball Team Learns in Defeat

As one might imagine at a school where sport and spiritual life aren’t compartmentalized, The Master’s University women’s volleyball coach Allan Vince gleaned a biblical principle from Wednesday’s five-set loss at the University of Antelope Valley.

“In the wisdom of Ephesians 4:22,” Vince said, “we strive to put off our old self and be renewed in the Spirit, putting on the new self. This is our mentality for training in preparation for Saturday.”

In preparation, more specifically, for a Saturday night showdown with Golden State Athletic Conference rival Westmont College. In the Mustangs’ rear view, though, is a 3-2 loss Wednesday by scores of 22-25, 25-9, 23-25, 25-13 and 15-11. more

The Master’s University Ranks 38th in NAIA’s Best Athletic Programs

At the conclusion of the 2016-17 academic year, The Master’s University ranks 38th in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup, the list of the nation’s best NAIA athletic programs… Notably, only two other Golden State Athletic Conference institutions sit among the NAIA’s Top 25 schools as Westmont College finished eighth with 631.25 points, while Biola University placed 18th overall with 512 points. more
