In the last five years, four schools have left the NAIA-affiliated Golden State Athletic Conference — home of The Master’s College — for the NCAA Division II PacWest Conference. …The first such school will be Menlo College of Atherton in July. The business school of roughly 750 students will keep the conference at nine institutions — TMC, Hope International University, Westmont College, Vanguard University, Biola (which was set to apply for NCAA acceptance in February according to a release), William Jessup University, Arizona Christian University and San Diego Christian College being the others. more

TMC’s Jason Karkenny has the look of an ace
The Master’s College baseball team doesn’t label its starting pitchers as its No. 1 or No. 2 or No. 3 guy in the rotation. …The next two weeks will continue to test Karkenny’s poise. After a disappointing outing against Westmont College on Friday, Karkenny and the second-place Mustangs (19-5 overall, 14-4 in GSAC) will face two other Golden State Athletic Conference top teams: Vanguard University and first-place Concordia University, Irvine. more
