TRACK: Big goals for Woodcrest senior: Masters, State, college, Olympics

The most accomplished female track and field athlete to ever come out of tiny Woodcrest Christian School in Riverside, has the not-so-modest goal of one day competing on the world’s largest stage. “That’s the plan,” senior Becky Collier said Monday. “My goal is to make it all the way to the Olympics.” … In the fall, she will join her fraternal twin sisters, Breean and Amber, both distance runners at Westmont College. more

Yucaipa High School grads both sad and excited to leave

Some 600 students graduated from Yucaipa High School on Wednesday night. T.J. Moneymaker was their valedictorian. Moneymaker, 18, is headed for UCLA, where he is leaning toward majoring in mathematics. He described graduation as bittersweet. more
