Trio of sisters play first basketball game as teammates

For the first time ever, three basketball-loving sisters took the court at the Mission Valley YMCA to play basketball. San Diego-based attorney Melody Anderson, 58, plays for the Senior Women’s Basketball Association and organized a game of three-on-three with her sisters, 74-year-old Margaret Mauzy, who flew in from Indiana, and 76-year-old Naoma Clark, who lives in Tennessee.  All three share a love of hoops. …Anderson played for Wheaton College, Westmont College, and internationally with Sports Evangelism. Exhibit by Pamela Kendall Schiffer on display at Luther College

“Yellowstone and Yosemite”, an exhibit by artist Pamela Kendall Schiffer, will be on display Oct. 24-Dec. 11, in the Kristin Wigley-Fleming Fine Arts Gallery in the Center for the Arts on the Luther campus. … Kendall Schiffer received a bachelor of arts in painting and ceramics at the University of California, Santa Barbara. She currently resides in Davenport, Iowa, but makes frequent trips to Yellowstone National Park to gather materials for future works. Kendall Schiffer’s art has been exhibited at the Ucross Foundation in Wyoming and in California at the Santa Barbara Contemporary Arts Forum, Westmont College and the Museum of Ventura County. more
