Lauren McCoy Named Westmont’s Scholar Athlete of the Year

Lauren McCoy capped off a tremendous four years of basketball at Westmont last month, leading her team to the NAIA National Tournament final. The senior is the Warriors’ all-time leading scorer with 1,538 points, all-time rebounding leader with 1,102 and blocked-shots leader with 159. Her high level of play on the court, combined with a 3.6 GPA throughout her academic career, made her a slam-dunk choice for being Westmont’s choice as the Scholar Athlete of the Year. more

The Westmont College women’s tennis team, ranked 15th nationally in NAIA, swept 17th-ranked Arizona Christian 9-0 at home without the loss of a set. The Warriors raised their Golden State Athletic Conference record to 4-1 with the conference win. more

Westmont Sweeps William Jessup, Clinches NAIA Playoff Berth

Westmont Baseball swept both games of a doubleheader against NAIA 8th-ranked William Jessup and clinched a spot in next month’s Golden State Athletic Conference Tournament. The Warriors scored once in the ninth inning to win the opener by a score of 4-3, then rallied in the fifth inning to claim the nightcap 4-2. more
